Unveiling of “Commemorative Logo of ARAI’s Diamond Jubilee – ARAI@60”

ARAI Launches Diamond Jubilee Celebrations – Driving Infinite Possibilities

To mark this milestone, Shri H. D. Kumaraswamy, Hon’ble Union Minister of Heavy Industries, Government of India, unveiled a commemorative logo symbolizing infinite possibilities for mobility innovations.

Shri H D Kumaraswamy, Hon’ble Minister (Heavy Industries) commended the six decades of contribution of ARAI that enabled India’s Automotive Industry to embrace innovation and global standards, strengthening its resolve to lead the transition towards future-ready mobility. He conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and gave his best wishes for future endeavours.
As part of its year-long Diamond Jubilee celebrations, ARAI has planned a series of activities under four key themes: 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 & 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁. The celebration will span from December 2025 to January 2027 and will include the inauguration of advanced laboratories & centres, youth engagement programs through competitions and hackathons, knowledge-sharing sessions by innovators, scientists, and industry leaders, and more.
The celebrations will also feature nationwide awareness programs promoting safe and sustainable mobility in India. Collectively, these initiatives will serve as a foundation for ARAI’s continued contribution to Amrit Kaal.

On the occasion of the unveiling ceremony of ARAI diamond jubilee logo, Shri R. Velusamy, President – ARAI, shared his thoughts, viz. “It is a moment of immense pride and honour as ARAI celebrates its Diamond Jubilee - 60 years of excellence in automotive research and innovation. Since its inception in 1966, ARAI has been a cornerstone in shaping India’s mobility landscape, advancing safety, sustainability and technological progress. This milestone is not just a celebration of years, but of countless innovations, partnerships, and contributions that have strengthened India’s position globally. The ARAI@60 logo we unveil today symbolizes continuity, progress, and limitless possibilities - values that have guided us for six decades. As we look ahead, ARAI remains committed to driving the next wave of mobility transformation - through electrification, green technologies and intelligent systems - aligned with India’s vision for sustainable growth. Together, let us reaffirm our resolve to innovate for a safer, smarter and sustainable future. Thank you for being a part of this remarkable journey.”

On this occasion, Shri Prasan Firodia, Vice President – ARAI, also offered his perspective, viz. “Celebrating ARAI’s Diamond Jubilee is a moment of pride for the entire automotive fraternity.
